This is a question I would like to answer with positive affirmation that God heals today through my personal experience and evidences from the scripture. I believe God has vindicated himself without leaving any doubt in our mind through what the Lord Jesus came to do and what He is still doing today.
To be able to answer this question as scholars of God’s words, I have decided to breakdown the QUESTION and see how God heal us today.
Anyway, am a testimony and for me this today study is an evidence of what God is doing through our charity
‘’Am Healed’’. We are not just a charity but to bring healing as represented by God’s word to the spirit, soul and body of human.
First and foremost, let’s start with
- Healing in the scripture
In the Old Testament, we find out it’s God’s character to heal. In Exodus 15: 26 “I am the Lord who heals you.
To understand what the Lord is saying here, we need to understand what is character?
Character is your personality. Who you are. So, it’s God’s character to heal and it means if it’s your character, its sometime you do every day, every time, everywhere. You are just use to it.
It’s your specialty God is saying that he is God that heals. He specializes in healing people. It means whether you financially sick, you are sick in your body or your business is sick, God is saying I can heal.
What does it mean to heal?
To be healed means to be sound or healthy again. Whether you were bruise, injured, backslidden, debt ridden afflicted, diseased, God is saying He can make you feel sound or healthy again.
One of the most striking examples is the healing of Naaman, the commander of the army of Aram, who had leprosy. God healed him after he had reluctantly dipped himself seven times in the River Jordan. ‘His flesh was restored and became clean like that of a young boy’ (2 Kings 5:14), and he recognized the God of Israel to be the only true God.
Naaman was able to see there is a powerful God that heals for a testimony to the heathen nation.
Elisha refused to collect money from Naaman to proof God does not charge us a penny for us to be healed like the marabous and so called prophets that ask you to pay them before you see them one-on-one for prophecy, healing or make some sacrifices.
God also demonstrated His sovereignty by asking Naaman to bath 7 times in River Jordan, by choosing a place and a vessel to use.
In the New Testament, the Lord Jesus introduced His ministry to the Jews nation as embodiment of healing.
Luke 4 :18 The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; he hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty them that are bruised,
Who are the poor? Someone would only think to be poor means lack of money, but, it’s more than that.
- To be poor means those who have been battered socially and morally. Those facing rejection, those who life have not be kind to.
- Brokenhearted those who are hurting one way or the other, those who have been offended
- The captives are those who suffered oppression from the enemy or the devil.
- The blind are those who cannot see the glory of God spiritually or those who are blind physically
- The bruise are those who pains and agony because of issues of life.Jesus was on the mission to bring holistic healing to us.

Healing morally
Healing spiritually
Healing Financially
Healing Physically
Healing psychologically (Our mind)
Jesus was concern and today He is still concern and some of these were demonstrated in the scripture.
He heals the man born blind – psychically
He healed the mad man of Gadara – psychotically
He restored the Samaritan woman image. – Morally
He cast out the dumb and deaf spirit – Spiritually
He multiply two fishes and five loaves of bread – Financially
The pages of the Bible is littered with miraculous healing of the Apostles
HEALING IN THE HISTORY
There are so many documented journals and books written by Historians and early church writers about the miraculous healing power of God in their time.
History has always being a guide to the future. Some claimed that healing stopped at the end of the Apostle but, that has been refuted by people like Justin Martyr, Theophilus of Antioch, Irenaeus, Tertullian and Origen who have written extensively about several healing they witness even from AD 130 before the dark age when the knowledge of God was not so manifested because God ushered light again to demonstrate He is still God.
At different times in History God has chosen to be silent. For 400 years when the Jews were slaves in Egypt, God was silent. For 400 years after Malachi, God was silent until the Lord Jesus appeared on the scene. God is God and can choose anytime to accomplish His purpose.
And, brethren may I say when God chooses to be silent, He still God.
HEALING TODAY
Since God is still God and his character is to heal, God continue to heal us today.
Personally, my experience is when I feel ill or sick and I pray for myself, I recovered from it and I have listen to testimonies of people telling me how God healed them This cannot be refuted.
In the last 60 years, we have avalanche of healing through the miraculous healing of God’s power through A.A ALLEN, KATHRYN KUHLMAN, REINHARD BONNKE, BENNY HINN, LESTER SUMURAL and other Generals.
Does God Heal Today?
My submission with the above analysis is Yes.
Do you want to be heal? Its left for you to decide whether you want to be heal or not but, I can tell you to be heal is good.
One note of caution why people are not heal today can be summed in the aforementioned.
- Sinful life
- Lack of complete trust and obedience
- Lack of knowledge of God’s word
- Unforeseen force. : This is sometimes through experience that God needs to open our spiritual eyes to see the force behind the sickness and disease. The serpentine spirit can work behind the scene.
It’s also called the spirit of divination that wants to deceive Paul and Silas on their way to the temple to pray at the hour of prayer.
It’s the spirit behind affliction and infirmities that we suffered. Its my prayer that the Lord will open our eyes to see what He wants us to see in Jesus mighty name. Amen
SAY THIS PRAYER REPEATEDLY
ANY POWER THAT DOES NOT WANT US TO BE HEAL, LORD, BY YOUR MERCY REBUKES THEM TODAY FOR YOUR SAKE.
WE COME AGAINST EVERY SERPENTINE SPIRIT TONIGHT BEHIND EVERY AFFLICTION SURROUNDING US, SICKNESS AND EVERY ILLNESS WE SUFFERED. WE ARE FREE TODAY IN JESUS MIGHTY NAME WE PRAY. AMEN!!!
